Meenakshi Lekhi currently holds the BJP’s New Delhi constituency, and Gautam may contest the Lok Sabha elections 2019 from the same. Being a resident of Rajinder Nagar, New Delhi, Gambhir falls within the constituency. If this case happens, then Meenakshi Lekhi might contest from any other constituency of the capital.
Being one of the biggest supporters of Indian Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi and Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), there are several occasions when we have seen Gambhir supporting the party and asking several questions to the oppositions.
Today on 22nd March 2019, Gautam Gambhir has joined BJP right before few months of the Lok Sabha Elections and gave a big surprise to everyone, especially his fans.
In the presence of Union Minister Arun Jaitley, Gautam Gambhir joined the BJP and expressed his elation over the same.
“This is a fabulous platform for me to do something good for the country, and I am sure I will do my best. Got inspired by PM Modi and his vision. I am honoured to get the opportunity to join this platform,” said Gambhir in an interview to NDTV.
